Because this event is coming up in less than two weeks, I must blog about it now because I need to madly rush and buy tickets.

If you are a designer, and you love design, and you love more design, you must skip uni/work to come see Semi-Permanent. I know that our tutors/lecturers are encouraging us to skip class (but if you're not doing a degree that has something to do with design, then they probably wouldn't approve).

Semi-Permanent is an annual design conference with other delicious design side dishes such as exhibitions, competitions, workshops and parties. (Yes. Parties.) It's a week long celebration of all things design. Artists and designers speak to all of us eager young things (and old things) about design. It's basically like a huge design porn day.

This year the speakers are: Ron English (he did the artwork in Super Size Me and other various things), Tamara & Dean, XYZ Studios, Glue Society (who did many popular and well-known television adverts), Timba Smits, and probably other people who I can't remember right now. Semi-Permanent is an all day event, it goes from 9am-5pm. To read more please visit the website, as I can't explain it all right now because I want to go to bed soon.

Semi-Permanent is an event held only in: New York, London, Auckland, Brisbane, Sydney, and Perth!
